 The principle of the Coaxial Cable is based on a high frequency signal being transmitted along an electromagnetic field between the inner conductor and the outer shield. The main standards influencing commonly used coax are the military standard MIL-C-17F or RG Type cables and the Uniradio metric styles URM.
