Proximity Detectors
Proximity detectors are used in place of electromechanical limit switches where the application requires detection with : * Very high operating rates * High approach speeds * Excellent resistance to harsh industrial environments * Severe shock and vibration resistance * Non-contact detection requirements An inductive proximity sensor will detect the presence of any object made of conductive material (providing it is within the sensing area). A capacitive proximity sensor will detect conductive or non-conductive materials. Both types of proximity switch have excellent ingress protection ratings.Visit the Burnand XH Ltd website for more information on Proximity Detectors
