Electronic Assembly Technicians
PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO LOCAL APPLICANTS
Cable and wiring loom assembly, Surface Mount and standard Through Hole PCB, and general, high level, skilled commercial production assembly work. The work is intricate and requires a high level of concentration and attention to detail.
Electroparts operates a full staff development programme: Induction, Basic Training, Mentoring, Goal Planning, IPC Technician Training and Lean Manufacturing Principles.
WORK INCLUDES:
Cable working including cutting, stripping, crimping and solder using a wide range of cables and connectors from power to sub-miniature.
PCB assembly including SMT and standard through hole and fine pitch work, component placing and solder.
Panel wiring and work on cable and metal assemblies.
Work is carried out to clear written, computer generated, instructions and schedules. Productivity levels are reviewed on a monthly basis or more often if required. Operators are supported and encouraged to reach the best possible performance levels. After training staff are expected to maintain the highest standards of quality and productivity, without supervision. Computer literacy and excellent command of written and spoken English are essential
Where training posts are available inexperienced applicants are given full training. New starters with no previous electronic experience, but with good commitment and effort, should expect to achieve top performance across the full range of work that we process in up to 2 years.
The work is very varied, interesting, light and clean. The workshop environment is excellent, with plenty of natural daylight. Our existing team is very hard working, professional in their work ethos, and provide a cheerful and open working atmosphere. We are looking for someone keen to be the best that they can be to join this already high performing team.
The company supplies a uniform worn by all permanent staff.
Hours
Training – 35 hours week 08.30 to 16.30 Monday to Friday with 30 minutes for lunch. Normally in place for minimum 1 week.
Normal - 40 hour week Monday to Friday. Overtime is not normally worked, but flexible working is accommodated around a core critical 08.30 to 15.30 during which all staff are expected to be on site. Earliest start time is 08.30 and latest finish 17.00 each day.
Holiday: 28 Days. There is an attendance bonus of 1 extra week for zero absence accrued on a quarterly basis.
