Hecnum CuNi44

Hecnum (a registered Trademark of Omega Resistance Wire) or CuNi44 is a Copper Nickel alloy which contains Nickel, Manganese and balance Copper. Its medium resistivity combined alongside its low temperature coefficient of resistance makes it ideally suited for control resistors. It is well suited for low temperature heating elements up to a maximum of 400 °C. Because of its high EMF against copper it is well suited for use in thermocouples and thermocouple extension or compensating leads. Hecnum can be provided with an oxidised or enamelled insulation.
