Special Alloys

VAC manufactures special alloys for applications that require carefully determined properties, specifically tailored for their given purpose.

The VACON®/ RESISTHERM® alloy group is characterized by an exceptional increase in resistance depending on the temperature. This property, also called the Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) conduct, is well-suited for applications such as temperature-dependent control procedures.

The alloy versions VACON CF8® and VACON CF25® are used for heater plugs or peak current relays.
