Chain, linear and folding arm type actuators are utilised to automate inclined and vertical vents for both smoke and environmental purposes. If they form part of a life safety smoke and heat exhaust ventilation solution (SHEV) they must comply to EN12101-2 : 2003 with a Declaration of Performance (DoP) being provided to prove compliance.
