Silicon PhotoMultiplier Modules

Excelitas' low light level detection portfolio now includes low-noise, ultra-fast timing resolution, low-cross-talk Silicon Photomultipliers or Silicon Photomultiplier Modules. These arrays of parallel, interconnected avalanche photodiodes, operated in a voltage range above the breakdown voltage, offer high Photon Detection Efficiency (PDE) from near UV to NIR wavelengths. SiPMs operate at very high gains and are sensitive to optical powers of as little as 0.1pW.
