The Amfeltec SKU-068-01 MiniPCI Riser is designed to extend the MiniPCI Bus of a motherboard. It comes with a MiniPCI adapter board, MiniPCI host board and a 304mm (12") PCI Express Flat cable. The MiniPCI host board is connected to the motherboard of the host computer at the upstream MiniPCI connector. The MiniPCI adapter board is then connected to the host board via a 304mm (12") PCI Express Flat cable. The expansion MiniPCI add-in board is then plugged into the standard 124-pin MiniPCI connector provided on the MiniPCI adapter board.Mechanical The flexible nature of the connection allows positioning of the expansion MiniPCI add-in board away from the MiniPCI host card or inside the computer chassis around any peripherals. The MiniPCI adapter board comes with three mounting holes that aid in easy mounting of the board inside the computer chassis.Power The 124-pin MiniPCI connector provides the power for MiniPCI add-in board (5V and 3.3V). The MiniPCI Adapter board features a standard 4-pin "Floppy drive" power connector for getting power (5V) from standard ATX power supply or an external power source.Plug n Play This riser system supports Plug-and-Play feature that allows you to use it right out of the box without installing any dedicated software on the computer system.

The MiniPCI Host Card features surface-mounted LEDs that display Link status between MiniPCI host card and MiniPCI adapter board along with "PRESENT" status of the MiniPCI adapter board.
