IC/Module: MAX7456 On-Screen Display (OSD) Module The MAX7456 is a low-cost single-channel monochrome OSD generator offered in a compact design package. Using SPI-compatible serial interface, MAX7456 is delivered with preprogramed character set. It eliminates the need for an external video driver, sync separator, video switch, and EEPROM. 256 User-Programmable Characters or Pictographs MAX7456 OSD module features 256 user-defined characters or pictographs in integrated EEPROM. It allows user to easily display information such as company logo, custom graphics, time, and date with arbitrary characters and sizes. It is compatible to NTSC and PAL standards. Composite Video Sockets OSD Click Board™ comes with two RCA jacks: CN1 and CN2. CN1 is used for composite video OUT and CN2 for PAL or NTSC composite video IN.
