IC/Module: MCP2200 USB-to-UART Serial Converter.MCP2200 is a USB-to-UART serial converter that allows USB connectivity for prototype devices with UART interface. Designed for low-power consumption, MCP2200 has 256 bytes of integrated user EEPROM and eight GPIO pins.It also has a USB protocol controller, which is full-speed USB 2.0 compliant.EEPROM Module.The on-board EEPROM module is a 256-byte array of non-volatile memory. The memory cells for data EEPROM are capable of enduring thousands of erase/write cycles, up to 100K for EEPROM. It allows for data retention without refresh for more than 40 years. The memory locations are retrieved for read/write operations through USB host commands.UART Interface.USB UART 2 Board uses the UART (Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter) interface and supports baud rates of 300-1000k. It has hardware flow control and UART signal polarity option. It has eight general purpose I/O pins.
