IC/Module: MRF24WB0MA Wi-Fi Radio Transceiver ModuleMRF24WB0MA is a wireless 2.4 GHz 802.11b-compatible solution that can be connected to hundreds of PIC microcontrollers through a 4-wire serial slave SPI communication interface. The module is intended for use with Microchip microcontroller families (PIC18, PIC24, dsPIC33, and PIC32) with downloadable Microchip TCP/IP stack.Regulatory ApprovalThe MRF24WB0MA aboard WiFi-PROTO Board has received regulatory approvals for modular devices, which eliminates the need for expensive RF and antenna design. With this, it enables the user to place the module inside a finished product and not require regulatory testing for an intentional radiator, like RF transmitter.Communication InterfaceWiFi-PROTO Board interfaces with PIC18, PIC24, dsPIC33, or PIC32 microcontrollers through a 4-wire serial slave SPI interface. Designed for a 3.3V power supply, it is advisable to use voltage translators when using a 5V system. It supports optional JTAG and serial debug for testability.
