EVF6-2410-IEC-150 Insulation Test Lead 6mm - Type 2

During servicing and repair of Electric/ Hybrid vehicles there is a requirement to check the insulation resistance of high voltage cables and connectors in respect to the chassis ground including between the centre Protective Earth pin, Phase and Neutral pins of a Type 2 inlet connector. This ensures that the high voltage presents no danger to a vehicle user from voltage and current leakage to the chassis.

If you have ever tried to conduct these insulation tests on Electric or Hybrid vehicles or charging cables using probes or crocodile clips that don't fit or slip and struggle to stay on on contacts you will know how difficult and potentially unsafe this is.

To solve this issue Electro-PJP have designed a specific Insulation Test lead with a 6mm connection for Type 2 charge port connectors (also part of a CCS connector), that are found on all Electric and Hybrid vehicles. They have also designed an 8mm Connection

The EVF6 test lead is designed to connect to the following pins:

Conduct insulation tests on 'high voltage' cables, connectors and charging cables using a Type 2 connector safely and reliably using a suitable insulation tester, such as the Fluke 1507 or other testers.

• Rating: 1000V CAT III/ 600V CAT IV IEC61010
• Length: 150cm (custom lengths available subject to MoQ)
• Colours: Red and Black.

Consists of:

• Right angled banana plug to connect directly to an Insulation tester
• 150cm PVC 0.75mm2 test cable
• Special socket to connect to type 2 connector pins.
