The Wire Insulation Piercing Probe (WIPP) is a single-use probe that attaches to a wire using a bed of nails. It is deployed using the Wire Remote Assessment Toolkit . Once the probe is deployed on to a wire it leaves a trailing test wire that is able to connect to a test meter or instrument to diagnose what the wire is doing or can be used to provide input pulses to the wire.
