A well engineered test socket clamps onto the IC legs while it stays soldered to the board, breaking each pin out to your scope, logic analyser or meter. For standard DIL, SOIC and PLCC packages we stock IC test clips from leading manufacturers, including versions supplied with cables ready to connect. For non-standard or fine pitch packages, or boards where neighbouring parts leave little room, we design a bespoke socket from scratch, prove it in 3D and manufacture it in the UK.
