We’re Joining Forces with Schunk Sonosystems at the Battery Cells & Systems Expo

15-06-2026

Supporting battery innovation through environmental simulation.

Weiss Technik UK will be exhibiting at Battery Cells & Systems Expo 2026, taking place on 8–9 July at the NEC Birmingham. The event brings together battery manufacturers, buyers, engineers and integrators from automotive OEMs, energy storage, defence, electronics and beyond to explore the latest developments in battery technology, performance, safety and manufacturing.

Battery Cells & Systems Expo is recognised as one of the UK's leading events dedicated to battery innovation, attracting thousands of industry professionals and hundreds of exhibitors from across the sector. The exhibition is co-located with Vehicle Electrification Expo, The Advanced Materials Show, and The Advanced Ceramics Show, creating valuable opportunities for networking and knowledge sharing across connected industries.

This year, we will be exhibiting alongside Schunk Sonosystems, a leading specialist in ultrasonic welding solutions for both metal and plastic applications. Schunk Sonosystems' technologies are widely used in the production of lithium-ion batteries, from thin-walled aluminium and copper foils to the welding of high-current contact and conductor elements, helping manufacturers achieve reliable, high-quality connections throughout the battery production process.

The UK battery sector continues to grow rapidly, driven by increasing demand for electric vehicles and grid-scale energy storage. As battery technologies evolve, manufacturers require both advanced production methods and rigorous testing procedures to ensure quality, safety and long-term reliability. Together, Schunk Sonosystems and Weiss Technik UK support different but equally important stages of the battery development journey. While Schunk Sonosystems enables robust electrical connections during production, Weiss Technik UK provides environmental simulation solutions that help validate battery performance, durability and safety under a range of real-world conditions.

Visitors to our stand will also be able to see one of our desktop laboratory chambers and speak with our team about environmental testing for batteries and battery components. Whether supporting research and development, qualification testing or quality assurance programmes, environmental simulation plays a vital role in ensuring batteries perform as expected throughout their operational life.

If you're attending the show, we'd be delighted to meet you. Visit us on stand 1027 to discover how Weiss Technik UK’s environmental simulation solutions can support your battery testing and development requirements.
