PEMTRON Honored with 2025 EM Innovation Award for TROI 8800 CI Series Conformal Coating Inspection System

28-03-2025

PEMTRON, an inspection equipment developer and supplier, proudly announces that its TROI 8800 CI Series Conformal Coating Inspection System has been awarded the prestigious 2025 EM Innovation Award. The award ceremony took place on March 27, 2025 during productronica China at the Shanghai New International Expo Center.

The TROI 8800 CI Series is distinguished by its AI Deep Learning engine, which enhances bubble inspection within conformal coatings. This proprietary technology enables precise detection of surface defects such as cracks and voids, as well as internal bubbles that could compromise product reliability. The system also features automated teaching capabilities, reducing setup time while improving accuracy.

Notably, the TROI 8800 CI Series is equipped with a four-way side camera, allowing inspection of areas not visible with a top-side camera. It also offers an optional inline coating thickness measurement, utilizing light wavelength spectroscopy to ensure submicron-level precision. Additionally, its reverse module enables inspection of both sides of a PCB within the same facility.

“We take great pride in developing innovative inspection solutions that help manufacturers achieve the highest standards of quality and reliability,” said Steven Wongsonvanee

General Manager – Americas at PEMTRON. “The TROI 8800 CI Series ensures precise defect detection and streamlines the coating inspection process for our customers worldwide.”

Established in 2006, the EM Innovation Awards program strives to recognize and celebrate excellence in the Asian electronics industry, inspiring companies to achieve the highest standards and push the industry forward.
