These power supplies can be used in an operating temperature range of -40 to +70°C and with a 7000M altitude operational ability, class I/class II operation, low leakage current, low inrush current, overload protection (OLP), overvoltage protection (OVP), over-temperature protection (OTP), short circuit protection (SCP), and 2 x MOPP (Means of Patient Protection) classification to ensure the safety of the user, and also the device in which the power supply is installed.
The series has all safety certifications (CB, CE, UKCA, UL, TUV, CCC, etc.) and safety standards including IEC/UL/EN/CAN/CSA C22.2 62368-1, and for medical use IEC/ES/EN/CAN/CSA C22.2 60601-1. (The HBU250 series is certified to IEC 62368-1 4th Edition.) All modules are fully compliant with the RoHS directive.

The HBU250 switching power supplies are highly suitable for medical equipment and devices that are powered by a motor, such as breathing devices, infusion pumps, etc. as the series is designed to feature an enhanced peak power capability to meet the motor starting currents.
