The S7-200 has been the go-to compact PLC for small machines for years. Conveyors, pump sets, simple packaging kit and stand alone equipment all over the UK still run on one.

Small does not mean unimportant. If that machine feeds the rest of the line, a failed S7-200 stops everything downstream. And because these controllers are getting old, finding the software, the cable and someone who knows how to use them is getting harder.
